Search online auctions
Filter Dutch online auctions by category and region. No live lots: curated deeplinks to official platforms, with guidance on type, risk and safe bidding.

How the auction finder works
The auction finder is an editorial tool, not a live lot market. You filter by type (art, cars, household, property, domains and more) and region. Results are hand-curated platforms with a deeplink to the official site. Prices, closing times and available lots are always there, not here. We do not scrape inventory or invent lot counts.
Use the filters to find the right starting point quickly: Catawiki for many private categories, notary channels for property, industrial houses for insolvency lots, B2B vehicle auctions only if you are a dealer. Each card has a short editorial note; read it before you click through, especially when an affiliate or sponsor label is present.
Which platform fits you?
Online auctions in the Netherlands run through dozens of specialised houses. Catawiki is the most popular platform for private buyers (art, collectibles, classic cars). Foreclosure auctions go via notary channels such as Veilingnotaris; insolvency lots via houses such as Vavato or Troostwijk. Vehicle auctions via OPENLANE are for VAT-registered dealers only; private buyers look at Catawiki or other private channels for classics.
e-Bids does not collect live lots. Our finder helps you find the right starting point. Every link is hand-checked; current terms, premiums and pickup rules live on the platform itself. If you are torn between two houses, combine the finder with a knowledge article or a platform comparison.
By category
- Art and antiques: Catawiki, Kunstveiling.nl. Read the Catawiki explainer in the knowledge base first.
- Cars: OPENLANE (B2B, VAT required), Catawiki (classics for private buyers). Read buying a car via auction.
- Household: Vavato, ProVeiling, Nedveiling (insolvency and remainder lots).
- Property: Veilingnotaris, Openbare Veiling. Read foreclosure auctions.
- Domains: Domeinveiling.nl, Sedo. Read domain valuation.
Also read ahead on bidding strategy, premiums and safe payment. Without those three, a filter choice is only half the job.
What the finder is not
This is not a bidding bot, not a live price comparer, and not a bargain guarantee. Filters help orientation; your due diligence remains: read the terms, calculate an all-in maximum, use official registration only, and keep correspondence. If a platform lacks iDIN or a recognisable payment flow, do not bid there.
Affiliate: only labelled Catawiki links can earn a commission. Other cards are editorial deeplinks. Transparency belongs with a tool you trust.
Practical path after filtering
1. Pick type and region, open the best-fitting card. 2. Read the short note and any sponsor label. 3. Click through to the official platform and read terms plus premium on the lot page. 4. Register and verify before the closing phase, not in the last minutes. 5. Bid only with a written maximum including costs and transport.
Using filters well
Start broad (type) and then narrow by region when pickup or viewing days matter. Nationwide curated platforms stay relevant regardless of where you live; local filters help most for property, household pickup and houses with physical depots. Never filter only on "nearby" when the object fits a specialist nationwide platform better. Read the card note on B2B versus private before you create an account: the wrong registration costs time in the closing phase.
Missing a house in the list or a broken deeplink? Tip the editorial team via contact. The finder stays useful through maintenance, not through standing still.
How do you bid safely?
- 1
Read the auction terms
General and special conditions. They cover premium, payment window and pickup duties. For property: also plok and occupancy.
- 2
Calculate your maximum in advance
Including premium, VAT, transport and possible repairs. Write it down: hammer price is not your final price.
- 3
Register only on official platforms
No iDIN or verified payment flow means: do not bid. Never pay via Tikkie or a private account.
- 4
Set a max bid and stop watching
Adrenaline is expensive. Discipline is free. Autobid helps if you do not want to stare at the clock.
- 5
Keep all correspondence
Invoices, payment proofs and pickup confirmations: your file if delivery or condition goes wrong.
Frequently asked questions
Does the finder show live lots and prices?
No. The finder shows curated platforms with deeplinks. Current lots, prices and closing times live only on the official platform. We do not scrape inventory feeds.
Why do some links show a Sponsored label?
Only labelled Catawiki links can earn a commission. That label and the matching rel attributes make it transparent. Other platform cards are editorial referrals without affiliate commission via e-Bids.
Can private buyers bid on every platform?
No. Some channels (such as OPENLANE) are B2B and require a VAT number. Card notes and knowledge articles state that distinction. Filter by your category and read the note before you register.
How do I use the region filters?
Region filters help with pickup points and local houses. Many online platforms are nationwide; choose nationwide or your province if you plan pickup. Property and viewing days are more region-bound than curated online lots.
What if my auction house is missing?
Write the editorial team via contact with the official URL. We add houses after editorial review (reliable channel, clear terms, relevant for Dutch bidders), not automatically via scraping.
